Speed Signs

A speed sign communicates to drivers the safe or legal speed that they can travel on a road or section of road.

Speed signs for school or forklift use have a black number inside a red circle on a white background.

Traffic control signs for use in car parks, work sites, and where there are road works are recognised by a white sign with the words ‘SPEED LIMIT’ and a number in black.
