Emergency Exit Signs

In case of an emergency, emergency exit signs direct the public to the nearest evacuation point from a building.

Signs are recognised by the words ‘Emergency Exit’ in white text on a green background. The words ‘Alarm will sound’ may also be used to inform that an alarm will go off upon exit.

As building lights may go out in emergency situations, luminous signs are a preferred choice for this type of sign. They absorb light and are rechargeable by light, so that they glow in the dark after light exposure and make it easier to find an exit.

Non-luminous signs are also available.
