Corrosive Signs
Corrosive signs communicate that corrosive chemicals are being stored or are in use on site. Signs should be placed at both the building entrance and in the place where the chemicals are kept.
AS 1319 states that a warning sign should be used when there are non-life-threatening hazards, which can be recognised by a black triangle on a yellow background. A danger sign should be used when a life-threatening hazard is present. Danger signs have the word ‘Danger’ in white text on a red oval inside a black rectangle, with additional information below.
